Dodge Challenger Production set at 30,000 |

A recent report from Canada's Globe and Mail has hinted at Chrysler slating the Brampton, Ontario plant to produce 30,000 Dodge Challengers annually. This serves as further confirmation that the Challenger is to remain a relatively low-volume car and will have a finite number of configurations. Brampton currently produces the Dodge Magnum, Charger, and Chrysler 300C vehicles today. Production and sales for those cars has been on a steady, slow rise, so production of the Challenger will be a welcomed event. The Chevrolet Camaro production numbers are quite a bit higher than what Chrysler has planned for the Challenger; GM intends on selling 100,000 Camaros annually. The Ford Mustang will continue with its production pursuits with its redesign, selling over 192,000 units in 2005.
