We have been hearing a lot about the next Challenger. With a new Camaro and the soon to be updated Mustang both expected when the Challenger is released, the production version of the Challenger better be good. Since we cannot fast forward to the year 2008 and report all of the details, we are here reporting that The Car Connection was lucky enough to drive the hand built Challenger concept around Royal Oak Michigan. Just as you would expect, everyone honks or smiles in approval once they spot the orange car on the streets. Even with a DCX project engineer in the co-pilot seat to squash any unauthorized activities, the car was a blast to drive. No smoky burnouts were done and no full throttle starts were tried, for fear of blowing out the fragile rear suspension. Regardless of those two minor things, it must have been nice to roll around in the 1 of a kind Concept Challenger. Most of the car's concrete details still remain secret at this time. So will it come solely as an R/T model? Will there be a SRT8 version to choose from? What about the colors and that interior? Only time will tell, but in 2008 this Challenger will be all business when it hits the streets.
