Well the word is official and the light is green for a Dodge Challenger launch at the 2008 Chicago Auto Show.  In just 12 short months, the world will get its first taste of the actual production muscle car reincarnation, said a spokesperson from Chrysler today.

The Dodge Challenger was first released as a soft concept at the 2006 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.  The announcement late last summer was that the muscle car was to be constructed at the Brampton, Ontario assembly plant.  Siblings already being built at the Canadian site are the Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger, and the Dodge Magnum.
